Size	Height 15m, spread 8m.
Habit	Pyramidal tree when young forming rounded crown with age.
Leaves	Similar to Q. coccinea but leaves turning orange/red to orange/brown in autumn. Leaves persistent over winter.
Planting	Hardy. Will tolerate wetter sites and some coastal exposure. Shallow fibrous roots. Transplants better than most other oaks.
General	Excellent large tree for avenue plantings or as a single shade tree.
